Sharon Clewis has been a practicing Registered Dietitian for more than 25 years. With her experience in healthcare, hospitality, and education, Sharon has developed a keen understanding of all three industries and has formed a unique vision which includes professional collaboration, mentoring, and the use of emerging technology to advance the practice of dietetics and the understanding of food & nutrition. This vision led to the formation ofMyRDtoGo® in 2000, and more recently the RDtalk™ podcast – produced by MyRDtoGo and hosted by Sharon – and the new RDtalk Ning, a collaborative and social community of dietitians, diet techs and dietetic students. Sharon proudly continues in her role as mentor to dietetic students and strongly believes in the responsibility of lifelong learning andmentoring for all food and nutrition professionals.
Adding to her experience in geriatric nutrition, Sharon has recently completed and become certified in Childhood and Adolescent Weight Management. Along with the childhood weight management certification, she plans to add the Adult Weight Management certification in June of 2010.
Sharon grew up in Miami and now lives with her husband in Coral Springs, Florida. She enjoys vegetable and herb gardening and travels extensively to exciting food locales. Click here for Sharon’s food pictures.
